Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Amman

You After clearing Immigration and Customs, proceed to the Arrivals' Hall where your English speaking driver will be waiting to transfer to your hotel.
Overnight: Amman

Day 2: Jerash - Ajloun

Your rental car will be delivered to your hotel at 9:00am. Travel north to Jerash, the best preserved Roman provincial city in the Middle East. Guides are available to hire for a 2 hour tour - ask at the entrance gates. Continue north through pistachio and olive plantations to reach Ajloun Castle. Sitting high above the town, the castle was built to control and protect the caravan trade tours north and south, and the local copper mines. From the castle you get a commanding view of the Jordan Valley. Return to Amman

Day 3: Mt Nebo - Madaba - Karak - Petra

Taking the Kings' Highway, travel south to Mt Nebo where God permitted Moses a glimpse of the Promised Land before he died. Then on to Madaba to see the famous mosaic map of the Holy Lands inside the St George Church. Nearby at the Archaeological Park you can find gorgeous mosaics in the ruins of 4 churches. Further south, pass through Wadi Mujib Canyon to reach Karak. The Crusader Castle overlooking the town was built by King Baldwin I of Jerusalem. Continue south to Petra.

Day 4: Petra

After purchasing your entrance tickets, walk the 1.2km-long Siq (chasm) passing shrines, tombs and carvings before exiting to the breathtaking sight of the Treasury. Walk the Street of Facades, passing the Roman Theatre to reach the Royal Tombs. See the Byzantine Church, Temple of the Winged Lions and Great Temple. Climb the 800+ steps to the Monastery and/or the easier trail up to the High Place of Sacrifice. Note: We strongly recommend a guide - we can arrange one in advance or request at the time of buying your entrance ticket.

Day 5: Little Petra - Wadi Rum

Close to Petra is al-Barid (Little Petra), where accommodation and eateries were provided for the cameleers and merchants. The fertile lands provided food for Petra as well as a place to rest the camels. Stop at the Bride's Well and/or take a walk along the time line road to a Neolithic Village (9,000-5,500BC), one of the oldest sites of civilization in Jordan.
Travel south to the magnificent desert landscape of Wadi Rum. Leave your car at your desert campsite before climbing into the back of a 4WD jeep for a 3 hour tour of the desert. Return to your campsite for a sumptuous Jordanian dinner (Zarb) which is cooked in the ground.

Day 6: Aqaba

Located on the Red Sea, Aqaba is the seaside resort of Jordan. Check-in to your hotel then laze by the hotel pool or enjoy one of the many water sports on offer either through your hotel or at Berenice Beach Club.

Day 7: Dead Sea

Taking the Dead Sea Highway, travel north. See Lot's Wife's Pillar and the lower end of Wadi Mujib before arriving at your hotel on the northern foreshore. Spend the afternoon floating in the therapeutic waters of the Dead Sea or laze by a pool.
Overnight: Dead Sea

Day 8: Dead Sea

Today you may wish to indulge in one of the many treatments available at your hotel's spa centre, or continue exploring this amazing country. Nearby is Bethany Beyond the Jordan, just 15km north of the hotel. Here Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and the children of Israel, led by Joshua, crossed into the Promised Land. Enjoy the thermal waters of Hammamat Ma'in Springs.
6:00pm - your hire car will be collected by one of our staff members.

Day 9: Departure

After check-out you will be transferred directly to the Queen Alia International Airport for your departure flight.
